9th-10th Model Warship Weekend 2008 at Explosion! 023 9250 5603 with the Surface Warship Association 10am – 4.00pm Displays of old and modern warships in the Conference Hall. Many model boats including HMS Relentless and also HMS Zulu. Also, the chance to race remote controlled model boats on the Museum’s specially built Boating Pool and to see Stefan Krapf’s Victory Model. Trade Stalls will also be on hand to compliment the exhibition. Model Exhibition is Free but does not include entry to Explosion! |

23rd Lee Business and Lee Resident Associations - 023 9258 8292 are organising a Festival event. The Festival has two themes(1) Community, whereby all Community groups and Charities in both Lee and Gosport are invited to promote awareness and if appropriate raise funds.(2)Youth , a training promotion under the banner Talk To The Apprentice will be held to invite interested youngsters to ask questions relating to vocational training programmes directly to trainees. A full programme in support of the day will be provided, the Festival will be 11-4pm. in the High Street/ Pier Street with Lee's 4 Pub's providing evening entertainment and the Old Ship hosting a grand fireworks display in aid of GAFIRS, |
