I admit to using at least two at least two Streetwise Net Profits ideas. One was the advice to limit the size of photos to around 25kbs. People who have been on my web site have commented that the pages open quickly considering the number of photos on it. This seems to be one of the things that encouraged the IT department of a government site to ask permission to put my web site on their intranet, with the possibility of it going on that government department’s intranet site. I am not able to say any more at the moment, as the security section is checking on what counts as advertising. I may have to change the site for the intranet use, but it should still be worthwhile. |

The other advice followed led me to sign up with Paypal, though I do not yet have anything on the site for sale. Do you set up the site or sort out the items for sale first? |

My father had 300 old Amiga floppy disks which he was going to throw out. I took them and was able to able to format them as 728kbs PC disks, although not all of them worked. I produced a cut down version of my web site and included a disk with each of the letters I sent out to organisations, asking whether they have any objections to being included on the web site. |

I still have a long way to go, setting up the photos on CD, and hoping that I receive interest from others wishing to sell Gosport items. |

I have contacted people who have produced booklets about different aspects of the town, or having a page on the site. I need to learn a lot more. |
