You will find low resolution photos. They have kept as small in the hope that the pages will load as quickly as possible. If you want a larger resolution photo, E-mail Me If the photo was taken by me I am happy to send on the larger photos. If they have been taken by others I will need to obtain permission before sending anything on.

I did have one photo on each page, but I have reduced the size and included additional photos of the same place on some of the pages. In other cases I have used the ‘Gallery’ feature, it seems to work in most cases, but there are pages where the gallery format has gone wrong, some I have had to clear and re-do , others such as Fort Rowner I have left for now. If you find problems with any photos on the site, please drop me an email with the address of the page and I will try to sort it out.

If you do want a larger version than that available on the site, still click on. the small photo, or the next size up if there is one, this will tell you how to contact me for a better photo.

All the photos that have been sent by others are noted with the name of the person who sent them. All the others were taken by me (Ian Jeffery) at the beginning of the site all but a few were by me, now many have been taken and sent in by others. If you have photos that you may be happy for me to add, I hope that I have put your mind at rest, but if you have any questions, please just send me an email ian@gosport.info
