1) I have enjoyed going to the events this year and hope to be able
to go to some again next year. If you have an event next year or even an event such as an Autumn or Christmas Fayre, where you have a bit of space, I use an upended pasting table, so do not need much, let me know
what you want for the space and I am sure we can come to some arrangement. I plan to have a better stand for next year and perhaps some more give-aways. I will be looking out for businesses in particular , in
Gosport who produce promotional items, pens, caps, shirts etc. A bit better than the sweets and leaflets this year.
2) I have been very lax about adding items to the Blog
which can be found at . I am trying to work out the best use for it. I will try to add what I hear is happening and items about places and so on, but if you have an idea, let me know.
3) There is information on Gosport.info about a number
of books. Some novels about Gosport and/ or by Gosport people. History books about Gosport, a part of Gosport or a Gosport Organisation. Why not have a look at Gosport.info when thinking about Christmas presents,
you may find one or more suitable. The will also be information on the book called 'Brown Jade' by Gosport resident, Yong Pease, his web site is at .
4) Please can you help Martin Duffy from Gosport who is
learning to walk again after 31 years in a wheelchair? Martin is determined to walk again and has come up with an enterprising way to pay for his walking therapy. Rather than ask for money as most fund-raisers do,
he is giving you money through a unique “fund-raising “ partnership with Euphony Communications – a UK Telecoms company that saves its customers money by cutting their phone bills, and offering FREE telephone calls.
Whenever Martin refers a new customer to Euphony and that customer makes a phone call, Euphony makes a donation to to help him walk again. Martin can help you cut your phone bills and save money. Martin has created a website to share his story and help others. His motto is Expect
Success. Web site: Email: Tel: 44+ (0) 23 92 581 113 .
5) It has been suggested that after more than five years, of more or
less, the same web site, that it is time to update/ brighten up Gosport.info. I am a bit wary of making major changes, so people still recognise the web site and I do not want have to go in and change the
format of all the 1,092 pages. I am going to try changes in stages to see what sort of reaction I get. If you have any ideas, I would be happy to hear them.
