1) I have added a section under people for poems, I will addpoems about Gosport or by people with a connection to Gosport.I can only accept submissions by the author or where permissionfrom the author has been given or where it is out of copyright.I will not be selecting the poems, except where I feel that theymay not be family friendly, if a poem does not come from that Irish town, starts; Roses are Red or The Boy Stood on the Burning Deck that is the extent of my poetry knowledge.(for selecting reading excluding). 2) A couple of new categories have been added under business. I have removed 'Self Catering' from the 'Hotels, Guest Houses & B&B'. Seem that there is a good choice for anyone who wants to stay in Gosport, say for a holiday. I have added 'Arts & Crafts' if you carry out something in that line that is say a hobby where you may be willing to sell the items or want to make it a part-time business, you may want to add your details there. 3) Mrs A Oliver has come across a couple of photos with people in Gosport in them, would you be able to advise what the groups are and/ or who someor all of the people in the photos may be. 4) Did you know that on 25th August 2004 will be 800 years since Godfrey de Lucy signed the charter that said,’Besides these, he has granted all profits which may reasonable be derived from the village newly built upon the harbour in the manor of Alwarestoke,’.Should this be celebrated? 5) What's ons have been added to June and July with a couple added to later months. Don't forget that is you have events up to a year away they can be added. If you give details of events for more than a year ahead, I will change the way the What's ons are done to include them. 6) Some more photos have been added, thanks to Peter Keat and Mark Channon, I have been a bit slow, but hope to add more shortly as well as moving all the photos on to the 'Gallery' format. 7) According to the pages indexed by 'Atomz' at http://www.atomz.com/search/trial_account.htm who index the site so you are able to use the 'Site Search' on the site. Normally they only index up to 500 pages, so as I was moving towards that number I e-mailed them to ask the cost of increasing the number. As you move on to a business rate it goes to $15,000, I replied explaining about the site and they said that 'In this case they will go up to 1,000 pages. The site is now at 511 pages. I do not know what I will do when the site reaches 1,000 pages, do you know of any other free or not too expensive site search site. |
