1) A new section has been added to Gosport.info, this is for the
Archive of the St Vincent Local History Club. Though it is within you can also go direct to the section under 'Gosport History Archive' at , different font and background has been used to show the site and I hope make it easier to read. You can go via the 'History Button/ Section' where there
is a prominent link to the site. There are few already added to wet your appetite, but hope that much more will be added over time, perhaps as often as every week. I hope you enjoy reading the information, but
remember you do not need to belong to a group to add your research, memories or photographs to the site, just send them to me. If you have any worries about adding items, please contact me so we can discuss ways to
make you happier about adding them.
2) I have set-up an index page so there is one place to go to find the memories, history and photos for The National Chidrens Home Alverstoke, you can find a link from the
'History' and 'Stories' (Memories) page. I have added the links to the NCH items on the site to the NCH index page, but if you find I have missed please let me know so I can add them. If you feel there are other
groups of pages that you would find easier to find if I added an index page for those pages, please let me know.
3) I am working on adding more new items to the 'Home Page' at each update, which I aim for
weekly, so if you have something to tell people about, say an event in a couple of weeks time or a report of something that happened in the last week. Let me have the information and I will do my best to add it to
the 'Home Page' if not enough room, I will add a link to the item that I put on another page or add the item to the relevant page on the site.
4) I was at the Bridgemary Car Boot Sale last Sunday morning as the 2nd of the first Sunday's of the month, with the Gosport.info display, with posters, flyers and business cards. A number of people stopped to talk about the site, take flyers and so on. If you are going to be at the car boot sales on the first Sunday over the next few months, come and have a chat, tell me what needs to be improved or added to the site. You could also pick-up some posters, flyers or cards, or advise of any changes required to the information on the site.
