1) Added since the last newsletter in August;
2) Information for the site, in particular What's On;
3) Businesses and organisations;
4) Photos to add;
5) Suggestions for the site.
1) Items added to the site since the last newsletter in August include businesses, a few organisations, some memories, what's ons, including the fixtures for November to December of the
Cummins and Pope Mid Solent Youth Football League, Under 15 A Division, and some photos(of Gosport)
.2) If you have any items to add to the site please let me have the details, if you have events in November, I intend to make a bit of an update in a week or so. Any sports fixtures in
Gosport or with Gosport teams, Christmas Fayres/ Fairs. Also I understand the Gosport memories is one of the areas which seem to have a lot of interest, so if you have memories of Gosport's past that you would be
happy to share, please contact me or send and e-mail with them on. Plain text is very helpful as I can cut and paste it to the site.
3) I am still finishing off my list of businesses and organisations, it takes a while to check shops, but hope over the next few months to deliver or post letters to them, it looks like
it could be 1,500 or so. Then I will add them to the site, so I will do a block of them at a time. If you are involved with a Gosport (or Gosport linked) business or organisation and do not want to have to wait for
the details to go on the site, please e-mail the details and you will jump the queue (and save me sending out a letter to you).
4) I have some photos from Adrian Newton and Hugh Beaver, as well as sorting through mine, in the hope of finding others. I apologise to Adrian and Hugh that they are not all on the
site yet, but if you have some to go on, please send them to me, if in photo form and you need them back by a certain date, please advise me of the date, so I can make sure I scan them in time for you to have
the photos back.
5) If you feel something should be changed, added or removed on the site, please let me know.
Thank you and Best Wishes. Ian R Jeffery
