1) Thank you for all the suggestions and comments about replacing the maps on the site, I think between us we havecome up with a solution. I will be using links to maps onboth
www.Multimap.com (which will also include a reciprocallink on their site) and www.Streetmap.co.uk. I intend to usea map showing the location of Gosport from Streetmap, a map of Gosport from Multimap (as this is not
available onStreetmap, then links to each area on both sites. Pleaselet me know which site you prefer.
2) I have been able to add quite a few items to the What's Ons in the last month, partly with thanks to Thorngate Hallsand Oliver's.
3) Over the next month, I hope to have sent out a packageto a number of Gosport organisations, such as Churches and Schools and others that have links to other organisations. It will
have a letter explaining the site, with a couple of the posters, some flyers and cards. I did this back in June 2001, though there was only a letter and reduced version of the site on disk. Since then the site has
been going an extra 18 months, hits are up from a few hundred to heading towards10,000, the site was 3Mbs and is now 15Mbs, I think there were around 50 pages, there is now 467. A long way to say, Ihope they will
have a little more faith in the site. If you have any suggestions of other such organisations, business or non-business, please let me know.
4) A very big thank you to Gosport Borough Council www.gosport.gov.uk (for putting the posters on the notice boards around Gosport in January), to Gosport Library for also putting up
the poster. Just as bigger thank you to Thorngate Halls www.thorngatehalls.co.uk for the link towww.gosport.info from their 'Home Page'.
Thank you and Best Wishes.
