1) This month memories added have been from Harold Tokins of the Hovercraft HR1 at Lee-on-the-Solent in 1959. Bryan Maloney of School Days in Gosport and at Holbrook, Daedalus, Osmiroid,
Bednam explosions and plane crashes in 1949/50. I understand from e-mails received, that the two main items of interest are the photos and the memories of Gosport, so a big thank you to those of you that have
provided them. If you have photos and memories, please contact me, so that you can advise me of how you wish/ or do not wish them to be used.
2) Yes I have finally got the businesses and organisation on the
site, so if one that you are involved in or know of one that is not there, please let me know. If a business or organisation is on the site, but without a link to the web site, please, please, let me know, so I Can
make the link, it will help both Gosport.info and the business or organisation (as well as Gosport) with the search engines.
3) I have some more links to books by Gosport authors, if you write books about
Gosport or have links to Gosport, please let me know. It does not have to be available on Amazon etc., if an e-mail or telephone number can be used to buy the book, that is fine.
4) I have picked up the

the offer of up to 20 free for one year .info domains, this expires in October. I am making the offer to transfer to someone who is setting-up a web site for each area at cost (plus a donation to Gosport.info). I
could hold on to them but it would cost a £100 or so per year! I would rather they went to anyone who wants to set-up a web site for part of Gosport. I have also received enquiries aboutwww.gosport.biz, which I picked up a few years ago, as I did not know if I had www.gosport.info,
when you needed to apply to the .biz. If you may be interested in www.gosport.biz, please advise me as soon as possible.
5) I have tried
to keep a balance between providing a useful web site, both to those that use it and to Gosport. This has meant trying to find a balance between advertising cost and advertising income. I understand that many even
in Gosport do not know about the site, though do make kind comments when they find it. I have over the last year received an income from the site (Google Adwords) of £155 in $, the other links have not
provided an income, but I understand there is a total credit of £14. Though I want to be able to spend as much time as possible onĀ the site, I do not wish to upset those who generously provide their memories/
stories/ photos for the site for free , so please let me know if you feel the balance is moving too much the wrong way, what ever it is. I would like to remove the Googal Ads, but they pay for the advertising of the
site, including the 'Map Boards' around Gosport, but if you you felt that you would be able to sponsor a spot on Gosport.info ( your message/ link would be on all of the nearly 800 pages on the site) perhaps, if you
have a special something, you could have a mention on the update e-mail and on the 'Home Page' of the site, if I had enough, it will even remove the Google Adwords.
