1 I have an extra copy of ''Gosport 800!' Gosport's 800th Anniversary of its foundation as a medieval newtown in 1204 A.D.', by Joan Russell. I will
arrange a draw from the e-mail addresses of e-mails sent making comments or offering information about the Gosport.info web site or of Gosport. Don't send me your address, I will e-mail you if you
win for a delivery address. Also if you send an e-mail and do not want the book and/ordo not wish to receive update e-mails. please let me know.
2 Quite a lot of 'What's ons' have been added to the site in the last month, so I hope it will be of more use to you. If in the past you have sent information
about your Gosport event or Gosport linked event, to the main Gosport Library, as I understand that they are not able to accept them in their temporary accommodation why not let me have them so I can add
them to the web site, at least until the new discovery centre is built.
3 The Forton Book now has all the chapters on the web site, covering the war years though to and including the move to the new school in Grove Road. I still have to add some
of the photos and to prepare the final downloadable versions.
4 You may have noticed the Google Adwords and other items in a similar vain. I have tried to limit this sort of thing to some relevance to the site, but if you feel that
some or all of them spoil the idea of the site or effect the way you use or feel about the site, please let me know.
5 I have in the last week sent a pack of information about the site, posters, flyers and cards to 75 organisation in Gosport such as Churches and Schools, in the hope that I
will receive information about linked organisations and events directly. I have done this twice before and it does make some difference, though in some cases on a short term basis.
6 I am planning to deliver letters to businesses and organisations in Gosport, asking for any objection to my adding information about the business or organisation to the web
site, in the hope of increasing the number on the site. If you are involved in such a business or organisation and you can obtain or give permission, it would be gratefully received and will save you
receiving the letter.
