1) Yes I am apologising for the lateness of the updated site again, last done 26th June, and even then not as full as I would have liked. Well with winter on its way, I should be able to do a better job. Please keep
sending me information to add or any changes that need to be made, thank you.
2) The book offer from the May update e-mail has been won by Phil and Helen, Phil wanted the Gosport 800 and Helen the D-Day book so that worked out well. Thank you again to David Maber for supplying a copy of his
book, 'What the Newspaper Boy Saw'.
3) There are a lot of new requests for information and photos on Requests pages 4 and 5, and sorry for taking so long to put some on.
4) There are some more memories, including the National Children's Home and St George's Barracks. Also some additional information about services, groups and events, supplied by the Gosport United Reformed
Church, on the Organisations/Churches/URC page. Your information can also be added.
5) A difficult one, as I am sure you have noticed there are a few affiliate type things an the site as well as the Google Adwords, I aim to keep the relevant to Gosport or to do with the web site. I would like to add
more information and photos to the site but will not until I have asked whether they have any objection, this can take some time and even longer as I save postage by hand delivering the letters. If a few ads on the
site were to raise a bit of money I will use it to put more information on the site. I will also reduced the affiliate items on the site, the ads will still need some link to Gosport. Please let me know if you have
an opinion either way, if too many feel it will spoil the site, I will have a rethink.
Thank you for reading this and please feel free to make any comments about the site, it has in the past helped me to see what is wanted.
Best Wishes. Ian R Jeffery
