1) I hope that you have all seen my wishes for you that was on the site during December, but anyway I hope that you had a good holiday and New Year and I wish you
all the best for 2005.
2) I have added a Gosport Ads section, which in the for sale or for free section I would see it as like putting a card to sell some item, or ask for an item in
the wanted section, in a shop window. With the advantage of no charge, so you can add the possibility of more people seeing your advert for the same cost, if you still put the card in the
shop window. I feel that it would be of more use to those living in or near Gosport to buy and sell low cost items that may be a bit expensive to post. Just send me a plain text e-mail
with your photo, I would prefer 'JPG', andĀ I will add it to the site at the next update. Just let me know when the item has gone, so that I can remove it from the site. Please
include an e-mail address or telephone number for people to contact you. You will see some items from me on the site, I intend to use any money made from those items on improving the
site.
3) I have started going through the Business section to update details and sort my list so that I can see who I need to contact about adding to the site and make it easier to see
changes as I go around Gosport. It will never be 100%, but hope that if I am able to improve the accuracy the section will be of more use. I will also be doing the same with the
Organisations section.
4) There was an offer of free .info domains of up to 25 for customers of 1 and 1. I thought I would try some of the areas of Gosport to see if it helps people
find the site. The free part lasts a year, so if little difference, I will drop them in about 9 months. I could not have alverstoke.info or elson.info, but did obtain, brockhurst.info,
bridgemary.info, forton.info, rowner.info, hardway.info privett.info, clayhall.info, lee-on-the-solent.info, peelcommon.info and haslar.info. Let me know if you feel that it will be of any
use.
5) I had a computer problem so had to buy a new one, which now has Windows XP, to save some of the costĀ I did not replace my Office 97 or Outlook 98Ā and am using
Openoffice and Mozilla. The problem being that I am not certain that the backup of Outlook data was completely up to date. I have gone through it, but if you are receiving this e-mail
inĀ error, or if you no longer wish to receive them , please let me know and I will remove your address from my address book.
