add, so that you can check the information on the site is correct. If you do not wish to receive future updates, less than one a month, please let me know and I will remove you from my
address book.
1) On the Gosport.info web site (www.gosport.info) you will notice that a 7th Requests (for information about
Gosport) page has been added, please have a look if you have time, to see if you can help. Also if there is anything that you want added.
2) I have had problems making the 'Site
Search ' work properly on the Home Page, both Atomz and the Google one, so I have moved it to a separate page that can be reached from the button on the left of the page, I have
exceeded the free 750 pages, but when I tried Google site search, it is updated it seems every 2 to 4 weeks and only indexed 348 pages , so at the moment it seems Atomz is best. I have come
across a low cost one, that will cover up to 5,000 pages, so as I exceed the pages limit by more, I will look at it again. Any suggestions regarding searching the site would be most
welcome.
3) I have finally set up the list of organisations and businesses, which has taken about 3 years, so the earlier details found, by walking and cycling around Gosport, were a
bit out of date. I have delivered and posted, to get them out in a reasonable time, over the last month. I hope to add the details over the next month, in time for the 4th anniversary
of the site, at the beginning of April.
4) I have been asked about the Archive Britain history and photo CDs, they are back and you will see the banner with the link on www.gosport.info. They have agreed to a percentage of sales through Gosport.info will be given to the site, which I will use to
put more of the information and photos that I have on the site.
5) I have put some adverts on some boards with maps of Gosport, that have gone up, I understand in 9 places around
Gosport, in the hope that I would receive the information, particularly, business, organisations and what's on's, directly so that I would have more time to add other
information, I am not sure that it has been too successful yet, maybe a few people will see them. I have to say by the beginning of May, whether I want it for another year. If you have seen
the ad, please let me know.
6) I have been advised of a new auction site based in Gosport, they have agreed to allow me to put items that I would like to get rid of for the benefit of
Gosport.info at no charge. The items I have are of the low value or would cost a lot to post, so was not too successful when I used a well known international site, not driving means that I
could not take all the stuff to a car boot sale. I believe it does all the things that you expect. I have removed the Selling page of Gosport Ads, which I hope the time I save I could
put on the other parts of the site. I understand that you can also list items for sale to 25th July at no charge and when you register, you will receive a credit of £3 towards the
charges when items sell.
