1) I have been lucky enough to obtain the domain name www.gosport.info
, how about 'For information about Gosport, try www.gosport.info.' OK too corny, but I hope it will make the site easier to find.
2) I am sorry for the delay in the latest update, I had a problem with my computer and the backup would not work properly, so I had to use the site from early June, it has
given me a chance to put in some changes. Due to the site going on the Intranet of a Government section, I felt certain business' would be of more use, so tried to cover as many business' of that
type as possible. This meant that I had to travel around Gosport for the information and deliver the letters, this took a long time so I will go back to looking at a road at a time.
3) I hope you like the new layout, the idea is to make it easier to expand the site without making it more difficulty to find your way around it, with the buttons down the
side. I have added a more involved site map and had hoped to have a map of Gosport on the site but it has still not been received
4) Due to the generosity of a gentleman who saw the site, I now have the ability to add more photos, yes he sent me a digital camera, so if you want a photo of a part of
Gosport I will be able to e-mail it to you without waiting for films to be developed. I will use it to take more photos of areas or roads. I intend to replace larger photos with more smaller ones. If you
want a larger version of a photo, just e-mail me for it. Unless you ask otherwise they will be around 25kbs each.
5) If you are involved with a Gosport based organisation, I will add up to a page of information and photos. If you are able to send me a plain text e-mail, I will be able to
add it quicker.
6) If you are involved with a Gosport business, I will add a classified type item showing name, address, telephone number and if they have them an e-mail address and web link.
7) If you have anything for the What's On, let me know, anything up to a year ahead can currently be added.
8) I hope the next more minor update will be done for the 24th-25th November weekend, well BT are offering any call for 20p, however long. I expect photos of some roads, an
extra chapter of the Forton book and as I am feeling a bit lazy, business' and organisations with web sites will be the main area that I expect add.
