1) Thank you for viewing Gosport.info
for up to 5 years, I believe the actual date when I managed to make the site first work properly was 3rd April 2001, after nearly 18 months of preparation and learning. I believe it is easier and cheaper
to set-up sites now, either for yourself via a business such as 1 and 1 or Fasthosts, or by going to Web Site builders and hosters such Webgloss. The site is now over 1,000 pages, I have lost count of
the number of photos on the site, but it must be well over 500, 1,800 businesses and organisation details are on the site. I want to thank the average 170 plus of you who visit the site
each day and I hope you enjoy the average daily 1,000 pages that you visit and , or find the information on the site useful. Let me know which sections are the most and least useful, also any
changes that you feel I should make. If you go to the Bridgemary Car Boot Sales on Sunday morning, I should be there on the first Sunday of the month, or at the Gosport Carnival Walpole Rd on 10th June,
come and tell me in person.
2) If you are involved with Gosport Businesses and Organisations, or events that are due to take place over the next few months, that are not yet on Gosport.info,
please let me have the details. Two people have contacted me as they are planning to stay here over the next couple of months, one even advised that she looked at the site for places to stay and was
interested in a couple of the events that are in the What's ons for the period that she will be here. There is no charge to add the information, so the only cost is an e-mail to me at .
3) I have sent off my application form for a stand at the Gosporteers Carnival on the 10th June at Walpole Park, I hope to see some of you there. If you want to have a stand or float contact Lynn Hall on 023 9242 3133. I have also booked a stand at the Bus and Car Rally, and Michaelmas Fayre.
4) Some more items have been added to the Gosport History Archive web site within Gosport.info , you can go directly to those pages if you use .
Best wishes, Ian Jeffery
