- We were the class that joined Central School in September 1956
and 50 years later - on 29th July 2006 we had a reunion attended by 18 - although I am in touch with 26 who show an interest in getting together. I would dearly love to hear from any others - we know there are some still living in the Gosport area that we haven't managed to get contact with yet. The next class reunion is proposed to take place on 12th July 2008. Some of the names we are still looking for are:- Pat Dyke, Sheila Harris, Evelyn Hibberd, Barry Marsh, Anne Smith, Alex Calvert, Richard and Michael Berridge, Eddie Flux, Peter Phelan, Ian Duxbury, Marian Winmill, Eileen Webb, Maureen Martin, Jane Gray, Sue Hoskins any news would be welcomed. I am Rose Churcher nee Rosemary Habens (9th Dec 2007)

- While I didn't recognise any faces, (Brockhurst Primary School) the names certainly were familiar. In those days I lived at Greenlea Grove
and was known as Michael Grant. Anyone remember me - I went to the Grammar School in 1951/52 I think!! Michael Warby (Added 13th January 2008)

- I used to live in Gosport (110 Kings Road), I attended both Stone Lane Primary School and Central School in the Fifties.
I would like to try and track down some old friends, and am hoping to do so through this site that I just discovered about 20 minutes ago. My family migrated to Australia in 1959. We went to Sydney but for the last 30 odd years I have lived in Western Australia. I am filled with nostalgia reading the content, I remember attending the Siskin Church each Sunday as a very small child, I used to go with my sister and we were escorted by two boys whose mother was my mother's best friend, they were
Graham and Nicholas Smart. I used to be fascinated with the brass eagle on the lectern there. I am now 63 years old, but my happiest memories were of Gosport. My Dad was in the Royal
Marines. Wendy Atkins (nee Stevens).(Added 3rd February 2008)

- I have just discovered the web page about Gosport. I attended school at Newtown (approx 1949) Stone Lane Primary, New Elson and Privett Girls
School (1958/9). My name was then Carol Stevens and I lived in Kings Road, Gosport. I had a very good friend Nina Bosberry and another friend Diane ( who lived at the National
Childrens Home) We sailed for Australia in 1959 and now I live in Canberra.A.C.T. My married name is Carol Bloomfield and I would be interested to hear from anyone who may remember me. (Added 17th February 2008)

- You maybe of help in this respect. It relates to a mate of mine during the latter years of the war, who lived in Gosport. His name is Tom Buxey
and was fantastic company. The last time we met was about 1948-9 and he was working in the gasworks. Have kept in touch with his wife Grace
each year by way of a Xmas Card but this Xmas failed to hear from her. Hopefully she is still around and if someone (a relation maybe) could make contact, give her our best am keen to hear how she is getting on. From memory, they had a son, but never knew his name.
