The Association of Nature Reserve Burial Grounds encourages the setting up of burial grounds around the country.

These burial grounds are less restrictive on how the burial takes place and allows people to spend how they like, though memorials are limited to maybe a tree or perhaps a plaque on a tree or bench. The place of the burial is not marked with a headstone, this means the land can still be used by people and wildlife.

The Old Cemetery

The New Cemetery

This the current Anns Hill Cemetery, as you can see it is quite full and due to being crowded with headstones and curbs, may not look as attractive as it could be.

The place of the burial can be marked by a microchip so is possible to see where each person is buried, without cluttering up the view.
