-Mrs Amanda Oliver, wrote to say, While looking trough old family photos of my Grandads I came across these two postcards. I have no idea who the groups are or who from the family could be in them. Surnames of our family in the area are Habens, Unsted, Knott, Pepper, Abraham, McGoff. The men in the family were in the Navy or in the building trade in the town. My Gt. Grandfathers Habens and Unsted both worked at the dockyard and for GV Northcott, at the time in Church Rd. I wondered if you had come across these postcards before or knew of similar ones which might shed light on who could be in them to narrow down potential people. Link to Photos

- Janet say’s-my husbands family came from Gosport & some still live there it would be great to have a message board for contacts as we are attempting to trace a missing Uncle 'Roy' actually named Reginald Cook born about 1928 in Leesland road last seen around 1955(Suez was in the army) who may still be alive who perhaps might find the message. (a lot of maybes but perhaps someone knows were he went)

- Michael ask’s - I am tracing my family ancestry trying to get as much info as possible about the people and their lives. please could any one help fill in some gaps. Henry Clack was born between 1815 and 1828, he was a gunner in the Royal Marine Artillery based at Gosport I'm looking for any info to help pinpoint his next of kin ie old documents or details of the regiment , my great great grandad George Wells Gibbs born 1881 was killed on the battle ship Queen Mary on 31st may 1916 at the battle of Jutland, a lot of books have been written but very few mention individuals he was chief armourer any info or copies of letters or documents would greatly help, finally [honest] but in 2 parts my grandads brother was Alfred Hughes born 1903 and lived in Daisy Cottage in Station Rd and played the organ at the R.A.F Garrison Church in Gosport, he collapsed during a service and was dead on arrival at R.N Haslar again any details or photos and last but not least great grandad George Hughes who died in 1926 and was buried at Anns Hill Cemetery, he died at Park House formerly the Alverstoke Workhouse I know about the workhouse but no records or photos about Park House well thanks for baring with me any help would be gratefully received. I live in the Gosport area so any pointers will be gratefully investigated.

-Debbie Martin said, I would like to find out if anyone has any information at all about my ancestor; a Mr. Gordon Hamilton LAKE who was living at 5 Saints Place, Gosport in 1955.
