I have two photographs not sure if they will be of interest to you.

Both photographs originate from Gosport. I would love to know if anyone could name any of the sailors and what the group connection is, and to roughly date it would be great. My Harbert family males were in the Royal Navy so I can only assume that at least one of my anscestors is amongst them. The other is Leesland School probably about 1919.

Hope you find them of interest.

Bye for now Pat Somerfield nee Harbert

- I wonder if anybody could provide any information about the or family in Gosport/Alverstoke? My great-great-grandmother was Martha Frake (or Fraker) born about 1812 and died 21/01/1892. She married William in 1835 and had 6 children. In the 1861 census, their address was given as Beer Shop, 119 South Street, Alverstoke and their occupation was Baker and Grocer; by 1875 they were Greengrocers in Beamister's Lane and by 1880 they were Grocers in Chapel Street. I believe Martha's father to have been James or or or - I have seen all these spellings in various records without being able to trace any more information. Many thanks for your help It's a great website. Angela Caldwell South Australia (25/02/07)
